One small tear can contain so much grief,
Years of anguish, pain, disappointment.
A pool of tears can hold enough hate to decimate an entire town.
One small tear can contain so much joy,
Years of wanting, longing, hoping.
A pool of tears can hold enough love to mend an entire town.
But my small tear contains so much of both;
Years of anguish, and years of hoping.
My pool of tears can hold the hate to destroy, or the love to create.
What the tears I shed now do hold, I know not.
I know only that I cry.
One small tear.
